Early morning refreshment

There's obviously something odd about taking a perfectly good camera, with perfectly good sharp lenses, and attaching a lens that sounds like something Austin Powers would have liked and specialises in putting things out of focus. Is it really as "creative" as they say it is? Anyway, you'll be seeing a fair bit from the Lensbaby while I work out if it does anything useful. Feel free to chip in with opinions.

I've gone with this one in spite of really liking the man waiting at Waverley Station with his big bunch of sunflowers, even though he looked fabulously quirky and had an endearing look of expectation on his face, like he was meeting someone he'd not seen for years. He looked slightly bemused at me asking him if I could take his photo. And as soon as he'd agreed, I was so pleased with myself for asking and slightly giddy with excitement that I forgot to get his name or give him a card so he could have a copy.

Still, who could resist a drink cup lying on the gallery steps caught in the warm glow of the early morning sun. Not me.
