Some Flowers Are For Eating

I never ate flowers before. And certainly not purple ones. These star-like borage flowers taste fresh and slightly oily, with a faint whiff of fish... the borage fills my garden, on their own accord. My herbalist friend says "The plants you need at the moment come will volunteer in your garden," and "borage is for courage". Courage is not the absence of fear but the decision to proceed despite it. Yum. My challenge to you: Go eat a flower!
