Mother of Pearl Moth

A quick walk with Mrs Wild One - trying to steer her away from the shops - produced the only worthwhile blip of the day. As you can see this moth is at the end if its short life. The 'powdery' coverings of its wings (which incidentally are small scales) have almost disappeared and this causes the tanslucent effect.
