Belmont Shores

The Los Angeles coast area is full of great beach towns, many made famous by various reality shows. Belmont Shores is a lesser known area between Long Beach and Seal Beach. Second Street is full of great art deco buildings housing wonderful restaurants and a variety of funky retail stores. It is an area alive at night with couples strolling the sidewalks or people-watching from sidewalk restaurants.

Areas like this seem to be the American version of the Mexican zocolo experience.
