We spent all morning at the 50th annual Manhatten Beach Open volleyball tournament, so I expected to have a volleyball shot as my photo of the day. While walking back to our car, my wife pointed out this interesting plant in someone?s garden. Being from the Pacific Northwest she is intrigued by the variety of fauna we have encountered the short time we have been in Southern California. She asked me to get a photo of it for future reference. I only had my 70-200 mm, so the photo I got was this moody close-up of the leaf. Probably not good for future reference, but good for my photo today. Thanks to my wife for pointing it out.
