ECHIDNA

A mamal that lays eggs and suckles their young.
Eats ants and termites.
gets upto 50cm (20 in) in length.
each spine comes from a single hair.
Is a monotreme.

This little fella was on the side of the road just out of Carlisle River, in The Great Otway National Forest. He stayed just long enough for me to capture this pic of him, then he high tailed it into the bush. Better that way than on to the road.

I have once again had trouble with my new tricknologoy, and was unable to get network service for a couple of days, so I back blipped the last two and now can do some comments, Cheers everyone.
