Swing

It's now Sunday 23rd and I'm catching up from 4 days ago, although it seems much longer, so these next few Blips will probably be short as I can't remember what happened!

So, Thursday... The weather wasn't great, again, so after a morning in the hut we went up to town for the afternoon.

There are certain traditions in Southwold that we try to keep to every year, these include, the 3 youngest of us (Me, Gina and Connie) making the puddings for each meal, swimming in the sea at least once, paying tennis at the courts by the common, visiting the pier, eating copious amounts of ice cream, visiting the pick and mix sweet shop and the playground behind the church.

Today we decided to complete the last two of these traditions, the sweet shop and the playground. Being 15, 15 and 13 years old, we got some funny looks on the monkey bars and swings, but mostly we are oblivious to this.

We visited the sweet shop first, only to find, in horror, that you can no longer buy actually penny sweets (they are now 2p or more) and that sugar mice are 60p. Still, it didn't put us off and we came out clutching bulging paper bags.

Next we walked to the playground, which actually provided some rather good photo opportunities. I chose this one of Gina on the swings, just because of the trauma I had to go through to take it (I had to lie under the swings).

Well, I don't think there is much more I can say about today, we went home, watched TV, ate too many sweets, had dinner and went to bed...
