Locked Out

Today was our last day so we spent the morning packing up the house. We'd done our basement room the night before so I didn't have too much to do and we managed to be out by 10.

I took this Blip when I arrived at the beach, Connie had been sitting there for a while with the dog, and asked as soon as we arrived whether we had the key. We didn't, but it wasn't long before other people began arriving and we got in.

I sat in the beach hut all day, not doing anything because I was impatient to get going so I could see Rob. The day went very slowly but at half 4 we packed up, swept the beach hut and made our way back to our respective cars where we all said a sad, and in some cases tearful farewell (this has been a rather emotional holiday, especially for my Mum and her sisters, as it is the first trip to Southwold since my Granny passed away last October).

I went in the car with my Mum and we went straight to Erpingham to pick up Rob. After an hour and a half in the car I was finally reunited with him and we headed home for fish and chips...

So, another brilliant week in Southwold. We're hoping to return in the autumn to put the beach hut away for the winter, and of course we'll be back next year!
