Walltown Crags
This is Hadrian's Wall at Walltown Crags at dawn this morning. From here the wall falls steeply off the Whinsill and into the Irthing Valley, which you can see shrouded in mist in the distance - Gilsland and our farm is under it somewhere. This point is also at about the watershed - rain falling east of here (behind) flows into the Tyne and out into the North Sea, while rain falling to the west ends up at the Solway Firth beyond Carlisle.
