STONE FIGURE WITH FLOWERS

Today, 24th August, is the anniversary of the fall of Rome. It fell to the Visigoths in 410 AD. This morning, as I sat waiting for the sun to shed some interest on this little stone figure I pondered the fact and then noticed, for the first time, that this little statue showed a man in britches, Scottish, c 1740, using a cell phone. I'd never really looked at it before today. It was just always around.

Am off to Siena today but not for jollifications; only eye tests.
