Calm end to the Day

Today was the first day of leave for me and I woke up with a terrible stomach bug that kept me in bed for most of the day..

However I had promised my wife that we would go out in the evening as we have both been working long hours, and i was determined to do so. By the time we were ready, the meds i was taking began to take effect and I felt much better.

Similarly the weather was bucking up too (I could hear the wind and rain battering against the window)

So we had an enjoyable evening out in Lytham but as we went homewards, for the first time , it felt chilly and autumnal. There would normally be some tables out in the square for al fresco diners...but not tonight. has the summer really passed? Let's hope not...
