Amphitheatre
Today's blip is not about the rhino - I had photographed this one before. He is in Chester's Roman Amphitheatre which was rediscovered in in 1929 but only the north half was exposed as there were listed buildings on the rest of the site. Recently there have been further excavations on the site and a mural by the artist Gary Drottle has been added. Here you can see the detail of how the mural links in with the original stonework. Best looked at in large.
