Tunnels and Tents
There is a tunnel in my kitchen, Ben has been "cleaning" the floor under my feet, we have built a tent in the living room (through which we have to crawl if we want to get in or out), the trike is in the hall ready for more racing; dinner for tonight is made and cooling ready to be re-heated when we get to the campsite this evening, Ben's had his lunch and I'm going to have mine in a minute, most of the washing is out and I must remember to rotate the stuff on the radiators so that the rest can get a chance to dry.
Reading that through makes it sound like I've been really busy. But it's been just the right amount of stuff to fill a morning with. This afternoon I might bake a cake. But I don't think I'll ice it to within an inch of its life this time.
I really hope the weather improves. This is supposed to be (for me at least) a gentle reintroduction to camping. Camping with a small group of friends, with no seminars to go to during the day, just a holiday. But Steve mentioned the words "hardcore camping" the other day and now I'm not sure just how much I'm looking forward to it....!
Apologies for the hugely overexposed yappy dog. Am trying to learn about the aperture priority setting on my camera: it's proving harder than expected. I am used to adjusting all my settings manually, and trying to pick the right spot to meter from is a learning experience!
Will see you on the other side, with a few backblips on Monday once I've recovered.
By the way, this is yesterday's blip, which took a few hours to be approved, thanks to a combination of iPhone, iPhone FX app, iPhoto and the GIMP....
