Gallipoli

The photo is of the fort at Cannakale, on the Dardanelles, at the narrowest point. To the right is the memorial to the fallen during the Gallipoli campaign of the First World War, in 1915 when so many Australian, New Zealand. British and Turkish soldiers gave their lives.
