Low hanging fruit

I'm a city lad born and raised. Imagine my surprise, when I moved to Kent, to find that apples are available from trees as well as from supermarkets! Here is a single apple at the end of a branch in a sun-dappled orchard. It's not that lonely as there are plenty more on the trees; this field hasn't been picked yet, but I liked the image of it being alone. It seems that there is more than one flavour of apple but I'm afraid that this one doesn't have a label so I don't know what type it is.
