Today's the day ......................... to re-unite in Wales

Travelled down to Wales today, to the little town of Llandeilo which is where Will grew up. Tomorrow evening there is to be a re-union of the people who were in his year at Llandeilo Grammer School. Most of the people there, he will be seeing for the first time in 42 years!

On the way down, we spent an hour in Llandovery, which is where this striking statue of Llewelyn Ap Gruffydd Fychan is. Llewelyn was a local landowner who suffered greatly at the hands of the dreaded English around the time of Henry IV in the early 1400s. This impressive memorial was the winning design from a competition in 2000.

Although it looks in the picture as if Llewelyn has speared the little girl, she was actually having great fun playing near him ..............!
