Sunday afternoon

The streets of the village are always quiet in the afternoons, Sundays especially as people enjoy a long family lunch and then have a siesta. The shutters are closed to keep out the strong sun. Later, as the sun goes down, shutters are thrown open again and everyone comes outside, walking or just sitting outside their houses and chatting to neighbours in the cool of the evening.
