trees

I was spoilt for choice today, from the two dutch guys cycling en route to Spain who stopped on my steps for coffee and a breather, or the extraordinary flea market that took over the small french town today. Many sights, but it seemed a bit intrusive to take photos of their, well, chuc/stuff. So the tree wins...these marks are on a lot of trees in the small woods. I'm not sure what they mean, Sometime sthey are upside down or sideways.....but I don't think they are indicating a path.
