Big day

It was our oldest's birthday party today. What was to be a small family party at home transformed into a BBQ at the beach. I woke early to finish up my son's cake and get things organized. I had lots of help, and things went great. We haven't had a larger party in a few years, so we were a little rusty.

By late morning, my boys were running around wild, and it was time to go. The Mad Hatter's hat turned out great. I didn't have as much time as I wanted to put some finishing touches on it, but he absolutely adores it. The fog was abundant at the beach, but it burned off sometime after 12pm.

It was awesome to have so much family in town to celebrate and spend time with us. We are looking forward to traveling out again soon to visit them.

This shot is of my oldest sporting his fab hat, while his little bhaiya (brother) sports his little white rabbit ears (just ignore the Popeye the Sailor Man shirt. It was the whitest shirt he owns that has long sleeves.)

At the end of this evening, my smallest got a bad fever so it is straight to bed with us.
