Getting the hang of it.

Moonrise Over The Pennines.

It's been a funny old day today. It started when I was woken by the dog barking madly at 3.25am. My first thought was burglars, my second thought was a fox was having a go at the chickens. I jumped out of bed dragged on clothes, grabbed a fleece blanket, flew downstairs and out the back door.

I hadn't met any burglars on the way through the house, phew!
I checked all around the chicken coop and all was secure, phew!

My conclusion was that the stray cat that has adopted my neighbour was fighting with her cats. I know it wasn't my cat fighting as she was still snuggled up on the chair.

So I went back to bed but couldn't sleep for a while, I must have drifted off as I woke just before hubby came home from his night shift.

We sorted out the chickens, walked the dog, had dippy egg and toast soldiers for breakfast and settled down for a quiet day. Hubby had sleep to catch up on, there was cricket to watch (very odd atmosphere after the news that broke last night) and the F1 Grand Prix at Spa to enjoy.

But I was so tired I couldn't even think of what t blip until very late when I noticed the moon poking over the Pennines. I borrowed hubby's tripod and with his help got the camera fixed on and then took a few photos. I'm actually quite pleased with the result but wish I'd changed to the bigger lens. Hey ho there will be more clear nights sometime won't there?
