DAWN COMES TO THE VALLEY

It is worth being up at dawn occasionally to watch it creep over the hill, light the Lucca Plain, make shadows on the extinct (I hope) volcanic hills, light the tree tops and, at last, shine through my office windows so that I cannot see the computer screen. The last day of August is never a happy one but at least it is sunny.

Several people have kindly commented upon strange effects in my photographs, streaks across the sky, pixilation and so forth and this morning I saw it for myself before I uploaded this. I started all over again and didn't even crop it and it seems to be ok. It seems to happen when the picture goes from iPhoto to JPEG, I know not why. :-(
