Floral Display, Union Terrace Gardens

A fine sunny September day in Aberdeen, so what better than to eat my dinner down in Union Terrace Gardens. Many other citizens and visitors had the same idea and were making use of this precious public space :-)

The gardeners were working on creating a new floral display on the banking below the Rosemount Viaduct - this one commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Girl Guides, who will be having an event in the park on 11th September as part of the Aberdeen Doors Open Day.

This beautiful park is under threat from development and the Friends of Union Terrace Gardens are trying to save it so that future generations can enjoy this green oasis in the heart of Aberdeen.
