Beyond the duckpond.
Last night, I didn't have a blip, and I was desperate to get home for the new BBC4 program "The Genius of Photography".
However, having been inspired by chaos's little series of nicely lit coffe shops, I decided to go over to the duckpond and shoot the eatery that sits on the other side of the road. This place fascinates me - mainly because of the colour of the awnings and the way they've lit it. I had always meant to get it close-up with the wide-angle, but that would mean standing in the middle of the road to get a good aspect. So I finally got it with the 200mm zoom from the other side of the duckpond. I had to be careful not to fall in the pond as it was pitch black, and had precious little time (owing to the impending TV program). I think I should have levelled the tripod first though.
Still, I shall come back to shoot more of this place in the future.
