Lucrezia

Had to spend most of the day working at an Open Day - it was quite busy and only had time for brief blipchat with Old Bat who was even busier at the other end of the table. Lots of people seem interested in engineering, suddenly. There were one or two who had recently been made redundant; sign of the times, I fear.

Several blippers were interested in my story of the tiny spider who came home with us on the honesty. DaveH has named it Lucrezia. This was the best of a poor bunch of photos and I couldn't manage to get the web to be visible. Still, you can see a few greenfly, struggling lamely in the web where they'd just been dropped by D. She was poised at this point; alerted by the faint vibrations, she was about to scuttle down the web and immobilise them, for later consumption. I'm sure she's grown larger during this week of her exclusive aphid diet.....
