Cheery faces
I don't often buy flowers for myself, in fact getting any flowers is a rarity. As I was dashing about in the supermarket mid-week I spotted these Gladioli, yet then, they were more like green lances with a few crimson buds peeping through- I had to have them.
Today has just been a bit of a grey day, not really sure why, something I can't put my finger on, then I noticed the columns of orangey-red faces smiling at me. OK, I'm not saying the flowers fixed me but they brightened up the moment, dragging them outside for some better light and thus reminding me how much getting out the camera does for my mood.
I think I might buy flowers a bit more often. (Oh how Libran of me, pretty things and small pleasures.)
