Saturday Mornings Are Made Of This...
... watching the Gruffalo, curled up on the sofa with daddy, eating brioche and toast.
I went out to make a cup of tea and missed the best bit, where the Gruffalo appears and nearly stamps on the mouse. Ben proper jumped! Was sat bolt upright when I got back into the room.
We have had a lovely day. Steve went out for an early morning bike ride, got back a little before 10, and we spent the rest of the morning gardening. I now only have one thing left in a pot which needs a home - a gooseberry bush, complete with thorns... Where does one plant such a bush in a garden inhabited by a fearless toddler?! I think we've settled on installing it in a pot on (well, what will be) the deck. And hoping. Two lavender bushes planted by the climbing frame, one thornless blackberry and one raspberry planted under new trellis, compost bin placed, all in all a very productive morning. Just very few photographs!
I also saw this blue butterfly on the brambles, and this cricket on a fence spike! And Ben saw his shield bug again, much to his delight. And the Spider was still in residence. A Happy Little Boy!
