My friend Achim Wirtz makes some of the finest knives in the world.

At the European Artisans Market in Aachen, he showed me his latest creation. This knife's Damascus steel blade alone took him 120 hours to make.

I have a passion for beautiful handmade knives. This one was so beautiful it made me go weak at the knees. Fashion never has that effect on me.
