Brotherly Love

Quite a quiet Sunday, had another late night excursion planned for the kids so didn't want to exhaust them too much today after their busy day yesterday.

Church first thing then pottered around the house this afternoon sorting out laundry mainly...I'm not keen on laundry it's just never ending...

As I was about the house had more time to observe the kittens...they were flinging each other down the stairs this morning...well not literally but it sure did sound like that...had a hard time making my mind up if they were playing or really going for it. This afternoon they had obviously made up...the two of them lying like this almost makes a heart shape...with a wee bit of imagination;-)

We headed through to the festival fireworks this evening. It's our local holiday tomorrow so no school so we could allow another late night. It was the kids first festival fireworks and our first from the family viewing area at Inverleith Park. I suffered from a bit of crowd rage I'm afraid as just as the first firework went up two very tall people plunked themselves right in front of us completely blocking the kids' view. Didn't even have a wee look about them to see if they were in front of anybody...grrrr! Anyway after a wee bit of manoeuvring we all got a view again. It's not as exciting in Inverleith park and so the boys' interest wasn't kept the whole way through. We had taken our wee fishing shelter with us so after a while they camped out in that. Next year if the holiday coincides again I think we'll head to Princes Street for the earth moving bangs!
