Playing in the Spray
Our holiday started early with a 9:00 a.m. appointment for a workshop at the Apple store which is located at Victoria Gardens, a lovely large outdoor shopping center.
After several hours there trying to get as smart as our "smart" phones and the iPad, and MobileMe, we ventured out of the Apple Store on "overload." We felt good, though, believing that we had learned more worthwhile info -- tips and hints to help us use our technology more efficiently.
As we stepped outside, we realized that temperature had climbed as we were in the air-conditioned comfort of the store. The temp, thankfully, was no where near the triple digits it had been the past couple of days, but in the mid 80s.
So we walked to find a place where we could get a drink of something to "wet our whistles." While walking we passed the water recreational area designed for little ones. They were having so much fun that we just stood for the longest time enjoying them enjoying the bouncing fountains. The looks on their faces when it would all shut off for a moment and the squeals of excitement when it came back on colored our day with delight.
I was concerned that some of the parents might get upset if I tried to photograph the scene, but then I noticed that folks all around the fountains were clicking cameras, so I did the same. I've got lots of fun captures, but the little girly with the lavender shirt stole the show and stole my heart. She was just so cute and her daddy was getting it all with his camera. His buttons were bursting as he watched his little daughter giggling through the spray of the cool splash.
The two of us savored the moments at Victoria Gardens. We would certainly label the day "fun." Then we came home. I did a little bit more school prep for tomorrow's class. Mr. Fun heated the spa, and soon we were in the pool adding fun to the fun we had already enjoyed. Then we prepared dinner, watched the news, and before I drifted too far from my blip addiction, I knew I needed to upload my photos from yesterday and then the ones captured today.
It's been a good holiday weekend.
Good night from Southern California.
