Laura of the Scottish Flute Trio

I was privileged to see the lunchtime performance today of the 'Waterfall of Time Suite' by Joji Hirota and the Scottish Flute Trio.

The CD of the music has just been released on Seven Things Records.

It was a slick and polished performance by the Trio and by the Japanese master percussionist Joji Hirota.

Joji Hirota writes:- Through this piece I wanted to express the various forms of water, especially within nature. By blending the sounds of the flutes and Japanese percussion the music can represent the delicate subtle and elegant, as well as the more spectacular and dynamic nature of water. From the smallest dewdrop to the greatest waterfall all life comes from water and back again. The Earth is a water planet.
