self portrait with my god daughter
hi lovely princess. hope you made it to the airport with enough time to enjoy the lounge. i missed you as soon as the cab pulled away.
here's alex's pick of the bunch. there were so many funny ones. mostly of you hysterical in the background as i tried to make it across the room in my geisha shoes in time for the self timer to click. it was a lovely way to distract me from thinking about your departure.
thank you precious one for choosing to come to london on your very limited holiday schedule. i know that you could have very well been sunning yourself on some exotic beach, cocktail in hand listening to latin beats. instead you sat in our freezing kitchen drinking coffee helping me nametape my boys clothes. that's what i call devotion. i am so happy i was nice to you when you were little. it has paid off in trumps.
thank you for all the wonderful laughter and the morning walks and the evening talks. thanks for helping me get my boy off to school and for taming the teenage girl. thank you for the yummy potatoes and the tidy bathroom. thank you for the endless modeling and holding absolutely still in the poor lighting conditions. you know i can't look at you without wanting to take your photo. thank you for always helping me find the good in things. you are like a tonic to me.
i hope your travels were stress free and that you won't be too jet lagged tomorrow at work. i hope you are fortified with all our love so that the insignificant stuff remains so. try to stay as positive as you have been all week and remember that we al think you are magnificent.
i will come to see you soon i promise. until then stay good and don't let those hipsters get you down! i love you. your god mama
p.s. try to keep blipping if you can. i would love a daily peek at your life.
