A hint of autumn

After a few months of pure laziness on my part, I've started to go on some little walks again this week, and already feel better for it, I have to say.

Today, despite the warm sunshine, there was a hint of autumn in the air. The swallows were twittering loudly and flying low, looking like they were gathering ranks for their long journey south; I snuck some ripe blackberries from within the hedges (yum); and the trees and rosehip bushes are full of berries too. This tree was basking in the sunshine, but if you look closely, you can see that its leaves are just starting to turn.
