A quiet morning

Friday, daddy day. After Martine left for work, I took Nienke and Inge to school. After that, Ellis and I went to the small forest near our village. The mist that was very dense this morning was gone but it was still very grey. We had a good time and Ellis enjoyed walking through the tall grass.

After pushing Ellis up the hill through tall grass we took a rest at this stone bench sofa. We then walked around on top of the hill while Ellis pointed at flowers and insects. When she didn't want to walk any longer I put her in our bugaboo. It was tough pushing and sometimes pulling the bugaboo through the grass and at some point Ellis looked at me and we had the following conversation:

Ellis: "Daddy tired?"
Me (panting): "Yeah..."
Ellis: "Ellis no tired"
Me: "That's good"
Ellis: "Now walk daddy. Ellis drink." (indicating she would like something to drink)
Me: "Sure...".

And on we went...

Now it's time to pick up Nienke and Inge from school. After lunch and some playing it will be time for another swimming lesson for Nienke. We're getting back into the Friday routine!
