Fresh coffee from room service, and eventually rose out of bed at 11ish. Holidays are all about undoing all that tiredness built up over the previous months. Breakfast in the hotel coffee shop, then the rest of the afternoon spent by the pool reading. Very hot but with a slight breeze and dips in the pool it was fine.

Into Doha city centre for the evening, first to the mall (complete with the above ice rink - bonkers), then to the new old-style souq which was mainly shut due to Eid, but we still managed to get some local cuisine in a traditional restaurant. Then spent 20 mins walking around trying to find an elusive taxi - a bit of a lottery. Now ensconced though in the coffee shop again, eating tiramisu and having a bedtime coffee.
