Thistle Down

Insight

Observing life,
We all have come to know.
That worldly things,
Are just for show.

That the hearts desires,
Are sometimes hard to find.
The dazzle in our eyes,
Can make us blind.

That petty things,
Will fade away.
And fall in line,
With earth's decay.

That wisdom learned,
Will add to our estate.
And faith will bear us on,
To that far, golden gate.

Where worth is measured,
Not by richly sum.
But by the service given,
And the sins we've overcome.
