I Wonder If...

I wonder if they knew the beauty they were missing...

Sunday morning I went downtown Chicago to work on a photography club project. The subject was angles and curves. Getting downtown can be a little tricky with the traffic so I always allow 2 hours to make the drive...just in case. I arrived early and had time to wander on my own. This is the garden on the south side of the Art Institute of Chicago at 9:30am.

As I was walking thru the garden, the reflections in the pond caught my attention. Then I noticed the people. It appeared that a couple were having their picture taken. I wonder if it was for their engagement? I believe the women on the left was a parent. She stayed close the whole time.

The photographer is directly in front of the couple. He didnt notice me but they did. I walked back and forth a few times looking for my angle, then stopped and took a few shots. I didnt get the whole sculpture...so I backed up and and took just a few more.

I couldnt help but think the photographer should have stood on my side of the pond. I wonder if he knew just how beautiful it was. I wonder if they picked this spot because of its beauty.
