The Lighthouse at Heckle Teeth

A fairly run-of-the-mill image today. I was out looking for migrants again. Six wheatears and three black-tailed godwits were among the usual ducks etc.

This lighthouse is on Hellier Holm off Shapinsay. The light picked out the buildings on a pretty cloudy day. It's a pity that buildings like the house by the lighthouse can't be made use of,maybe as hostels for visitors and run, for a small profit, by the local community.
