THE OLD MAN PINE

Another quake problem solved .
This old man pine on the corner of our property has been affected by the earthquake ..Large ground cracks run right under the root ball rendering the tree very unsafe. It has been leaning precariously over the road and power lines since the big quake on the 4th Sept. The Engineer and I are very pleased to see it coming down before the southerly storm that has been forecast for the weekend. If it had fallen it would have caused serious damage to the power lines or a car going past.
