Ticking Away the Moments

Leaving London

My third day in London this week - and much as I love it, I was pleased to be on my way home again this afternoon.

I had intended to find a great London picture opportunity but decided that catching an earlier train was more important to me today. So my blip is the view from the train just as it was leaving.

I worked in London for years and know lots of stations much better than I'd like. Waterloo, Paddington, Euston, King's Cross, Liverpool Street, I've spent far too many hours in all of them - but i've only recently discovered Marylebone.

It's a lovely station, still old fashioned enough so that you can see the history, with some handy food places and including an M&S Food, always handy. There's a lovely flower stall near the entrance too which brightens things up nicely.

However, I haven't managed to bring you a photo of the flowers, or the old station entrance which is quite pretty too. No, I've got you the station sign on the platform which is being renovated so it's complete with safety barrier. But I quite like the blue sky and clouds and for a photo taken out of the window of a moving train, it's remarkably clear!
