European Cross Spider

Almost caught up with this week's BackBlips...
This shot is of a European Cross spider that can be found EVERYWHERE this time of year in the Pacific Northwest. Like most spiders, they are totally harmless with webs mostly found outside under the eaves or between trees and bushes.
They are very habitual and tend to stay in one spot as long as it produces sufficient prey. This guy is also the subject of tomorrow's super-macro (100mm Macro + inverted 50mm lens combo).
