SNOW

11 weeks + 2

Already, Katie's extremely cheeky personality is shining through a lot! She has an infectious grin and has just learnt to stick her tongue out, which she does most of the time.

It was a girly day today, as Katie's winter attire suggests, it was a cold one. So we did our usual playing at home to avoid the cold. The essential Friday food shopping happened, but mainly lots of snuggles to keep warm.

We picked up her dad from work, and drove up to get her brother. From there, things turned a little more dramatic. A sudden snow storm hit the town. Just as the schools were letting out. The whole town came to a standstill. Traffic was queuing in every direction. We couldn't get up either of the hills that lead to near the house, small cars had got themselves stuck. We tried taking a detour, but that traffic was at a standstill. In the end, we had to abandon the car and walk. Thankfully I had a large stock of blankets for Katie, so snuggled her up and she was happy - slept all the way. It took us about 40 minutes in the snow, but everyone was much happier walking it than being stuck in a car, going nowhere!
