Questionable Quinces

This is this years' harvest of quinces. They're small, covered by black spots (hailstorm, mildew? I haven't got a clue...) and sometimes torn open. A pity.

Usually, they have a lovely fragrance. Put a few on a platter in the kitchen and use the rest to make a delicious jelly...

Not this year, though. We'll make do with a blip that I hope the lot of you like...
