Harvest Gathering

today marks the beginning of one of my favorite weekends of the year, one which defines many of my favorite things about the state of michigan. It is the annual Harvest Gathering at the Earthworks Farm. A music festival of sorts with an amazing community of people at the base of it. Celebrating the season's harvest with a kitchen constantly cooking up delicious local wonders. Celebrating the end of summer, a season of music, with three days of performances by the mitten's best folk (and other somewhat related genres) musicians. Celebrating life by spending it with the friends i have made my family.

it just makes me want to take a deep breath of fresh fall air and smile with joy
