Furniture Painting
My poor wife had the bright idea to "save" our unit's furniture by painting the whitewashed wicker a dark brown (while staying in Indio, CA we are doing some remodeling work on the unit in which we are staying for three months while we watch our daughter play volleyball at Long Beach City College). The only feasible way to accomplish this task was with spray paint, fourteen cans of leather brown from our local Ace Hardware. We constructed a paint booth from plastic and duct tape in front of our unit. There were two chairs, four tables, and two couch ends which took a total of almost five hours of constant spraying. Needless to say, my wife was covered in brown, leather brown, overspray and the paint booth was totally inundated with the same.
The furniture looks much better with its new color and certainly works better within the new color scheme. I hope when my wife recovers from her ordeal in a couple of days she will think the same.
