A Little Afternoon Nap

Spoilt for choice for blips today. Hubby and I celebrated our wedding anniversary by going to Byland Abbey and the exquisite village of Coxwold on the edge of the North York Moors. Almost miraculously, we were blessed by the best sunshine this year! On arrival, we headed to the nearest pub for a coffee, and stayed on for delicious farmers and ploughmans lunches.
This lovely, good tempered, black labrador was captured having a little snooze- a picture of repose!

After lunch, we fulfilled one of my long held ambitions: to visit Shandy Hall, a beautiful old building set in two acres of delightful garden and surrounded by stunning landscape. I have to say that Patrick's guided tour was an absolute gem, which I intend to keep polished by memory. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon, Patrick. Hope to visit again next year, in May, when the Hall will be open again, after the winter closure.
