withering rose

i continue to be amazed at some of the blossoms that are hanging on. this rose i found on one of the rose bushes in the front of the house. i thought they were all gone but.... a flash of red caught my eye. no, it couldn't possibly be. but it was, withering away, but indeed there...

so i played around, cropped and this is what i ended up with...

it is a cloudy, overcast day today with rain on the horizon so this lovely bit of red is a nice kind of relief for my day.... i hope it is for yours as well.
