Close to Midnight

A late one tonight. Alas, no shot of the moon either. It must be there somewhere behind all those rain clouds, layers upon layers of them. How deep can clouds be and how do they hold so much rain?

The rain has been non-stop this evening.
Everything is dripping. The gutters are overflowing. The drainpipes are leaking in the wrong places. The rain is heaving itself down upon the tiles of the kitchen roof. The drive will be making itself into a river. And the lane will be full of debris washed down the hill by morning.

Must blip during daylight hours tomorrow.
Some sunshine for us, please?

In the meantime, this splash of colour comes from one of my favourite coin-belts.

Like I say.
Close to Midnight.
