Dexter guards the washing

Dexter the cat has recently moved homes. He now lives with @ViolaMaths and her famous Wonderspouse.

I had the pleasure of meeting this fine beast today. He is most certainly loved and well looked after in his new home, and he seems very contented there. He has a big brother, and three sisters (look at @ViolaMaths's BlipFoto for Wednesday 22 September).

He took a great deal of interest in the washing that was awaiting transfer to the machine, and even more interest in a tea-towel that @ViolaMaths had thrown into the utility room. He approached it as though it had to be stalked and subjected to a surprise leap and kill, but fear of the noise emanating from the washing machine overcame Dexter's killer instincts. After that amusing interlude, Dexter returned to his duties of guarding the washing.
