Me, Myself and Catherine

Blencathra

Well, it's so often worth the effort, sunrise, isn't it?
I'd had this spot picked out for a while, waiting for this time of year, sunrise at 90 degrees to perfectly illuminate causey pike et al.

Except a large bank of cloud in the east precluded anything interesting happening there at all! Just as well Blencathra just happened to be in view, most certainly doing interesting things.

An hour to savour as the first red fire in the sky turned ridges pink, then orange crept down the fellside through yellow, until day caught up with us. The choice of blip today was difficult. This may not be the best image from today, but it feels representative.
