What cancer cannot do
Today has been spent celebrating life.
Today's blip is of Sue, a friend and collegue who has been fighting cancer.
To celebrate her 'all clear', Sue organised a day of activities including abseiling and tubing, followed by food, wine with 30 or so of her girlfriends who have supported her through her fight.
We had a ball!
Just home and a quick blip before bed!
Cancer is so limited.
It cannot cripple love, it cannot shatter hope.
It cannot corrode faith, it cannot eat away peace.
It cannot destroy confidence, it cannot kill friendship.
It cannot shut out memories, it cannot silence courage.
It cannot invade the soul, it cannot quench the spirit.
Our greatest enemy is not disease, but despair.
Cancer might rob you of that blissful ignorance that once led you to believe that tomorrow stretched on forever, but in exchange, you are granted the vision to see each day as a precious gift to be used wisely and richly.
